How to secure a property
Holding Deposits
In order to secure a property Megaclose requires you to pay a holding deposit at the time of signing your agreement. The amount of the deposit is equal to 1 calendar month of rent. Once your deposit is received Megaclose guarantee that the property you have chosen will be reserved for you until the agreed date for the start of your tenancy, at which time your holding deposit will be used to pay your first month of rent.
Damage Deposits
New tenants are required to pay a refundable damage deposit equal to 1 month of rent. The damage deposit must be paid at the time of signing your agreement in the form of a Cheque, dated 14 days prior to the start of your tenancy. (This Cheque will not be banked until the specified date). The damage deposit will be held as security for any damage caused during the period of the tenancy, and will be refunded in full/part shortly afterwards.
Payments
All tenants will be required to provide cheques for rent payments as scheduled below at the time of signing the tenancy agreement.
- 4 Months - Due on the 10th October
- 4 Months - Due on the 10th January
- 2 Months - Due on the 10th April
Cheques will be banked on the dates specified above.
Parental Guarantee
All tenants are required to return a Parental Guarantee document within 21 days of signing the tenancy agreement. An example of which can be viewed by clicking the link below.
